nature's freedom park

a successful ecotourism in a country that is considered by many as the most corrupt in Asia would sound a bit out of place. balancing out such issues as sustainable development and political survival would make an ordinary local official cringe and just go with flow, opting for the latter. but i guess there's something special about puerto princesa's local government for the past couple of decades. this city has withstood the temptation of selling their souls to the highest bidder and instead chose to keep what they have and protect it for their children. they probably read the old saying that goes "the earth was not inherited from our parents, it was borrowed from our children" and took it by heart.

garden of healthy living

my family had a quick trip to sonya's garden last sunday. it was my third visit to this heavenly garden getaway and each time i'm here there's always something new to see and experience. it seems like the place is getting bigger every year. everywhere i look there's a new structure or some construction going on. the food and ambience though is basically the same plus they now have fish for your protein fix so you should feel a bit fuller now. i would love to try the bed and breakfast next time.
