narda

This song's been on my discman (yes i don't have an ipod hehe) for a couple of weeks now. Not very Kamikazee like, it just caught my "melodramatic fool" mood i guess. Hehe! Tugtugan na, inuman na!

Narda
By Kamikazee

VERSE 1:
D Bm
Tila ibon kung lumipad, Sumabay sa hangin ako'y napatingin

Mapapansin kaya sa dame ng yong gingawa
G A

(SAME CHORDS USED IN ALL VERSES)

Ito ang tanging paraan para mayakap ka
Darating kaya......sa dame ng ginagawa
Kung kaagaw ko sila paano na kaya?

laban pacman!

The runup to the fight made my palms sweat, the singing of the national anthem sent shivers down my spine, the continous barrage of hooks and straights made my heart pound like crazy, and finally the 10th round knockdown made me stand up, clench my fists, punch them in the air and say 'mabuhay ang Pilipinas!'

Our hero dedicated his victory to God and country. Even just for a few hours he made us happy once again. He endured months of sacrifices and pain for this victory. And as he goes on his journey, he will continue to put our country's name on top of the boxing world. He will make others respect our people. And eventually we can again be proud of our heritage. But to us, he only has one thing to ask- for us to unite as a nation. It's time to pay him back!

Salamat Manny!

weddings and portraits

Wedding shoots are tiring. You spend around 10 hours of hard work trying to get the best angles, waiting for perfect moments, chasing bridal cars, evading church staff and a whole lot of unpredictable moments and decision making. Most of this on an empty stomach. But the pay is good and you feel your value to the couple and their families. The chance to witness touching moments and hear the distinct love story of each couple takes away all the physical pain you're feeling during the shoot. And best of all you see so many beautiful faces like this one. Hanep sa intro noh?! Haha! The portrait is from a shoot I did last 2004 while the flower overlay is from Sonia's Garden last year. Just doing some experiments on photoshop. ;)

yummy!

Not really edible stuff!

I just got back from my basic food styling and photography seminar. Thanks to Jo Avila and Pixie Sevilla for a very educational and very hands-on session. Literally hands-on, that is. Hehe. Here are my modest creations. :)

so much going on

My first post for the year, huh!
I was sick the past week. Not really the best way to start the year. And I have too much on my mind right now. A lot of things to do, a lot of things to plan for.

A summary of future gigs:

1. Food styling and food photography seminar - photography and food. beats a night out with your ultimate crush. haha! no wonder i'm unattached. :P
2. Pig shoot - yes, you read it right. i'm helping out a friend from a drug company to shoot pigs in batangas. you might just see my wonderful bobby baboy photos on the road one of these days. hehe. not a bad start, towards that ultimate goal of shooting bianca gonzales for a billboard on edsa. or UNO maybe? nahhh! :D
3. Baguio and Sagada trip - wohoo, it's SFC-ILC time again.
4. US trip - wohoo x 2! can't wait to see the city that michael jordan built.
5. My website - working on it. simple hardcoded html. no fuzzy flash yet.
6. RockEd - they have some activities lined up. i'll definitely free up my sched for most of it.
7. Gawad Kalinga - can't wait for the big project xCIS people will be working on. a visit to Quezon and Montalban GK site would be a big bonus :)
8. Memoirs of a Geisha - still in love with the Japanese culture. i hope to finish the book before i actually see the movie. good luck to me.
9. Manny Pacquiao - will be storming the heavens to plead a victory for this guy.
10. Crib - drawing out plans for some renovation for my room, our kitchen and t&b. i'm still contemplating on the design. trying to remember all i learned from the lifestyle network.

Ayt, I hope to post some pics and digital art on my next one. :)
