who's next?

I took the morning off to watch the finale of Rockstar INXS. That's how addicted I've become of the show. While my bet, Mig, lost it out to JD, it was cool for me. If you read my post yesterday, it wasn't really unexpected. Bohemian Rhapsody by Mig was the final nail on his coffin. He lost his slim chance of getting the gig when he decided to go back to his Queen history. He may still make it big though. At least he's sure of a career somewhere. He even mentioned the magic word-"Philippines". So I'm sure the Pinoys will embrace him. You can never be sure, but don't discount a local movie being produced for him. That's the Pinoy way. Marty's losing the battle may be proven to be his gain in the future. In fact, he might even be the front act for the INXS world tour. And Dave Navarro wants to be his guitar player on a future collaboration. So all that said, everyone's a winner especially with those new Honda Civics given to the final three. I just love the lines of that Coupe version. I hope it would be released locally.

I wonder who will be the next band in next season's Rockstar. We just might see some dead vocalists in the next few months. Hehe!

bottom 3?

After a couple of months, the most entertaining reality/talent show I've seen nears it's end. Three rockers will give their final pitches tomorrow to be chosen as the one right for the band INXS. My final thoughts on the three.

Mig - My sentimental favorite because of his Pinoy blood and because he is the most likeable person on the show. However, the latter reason may be his downfall. INXS and a lot others believe his being soft is not the rocker attitude that they are looking for. Talentwise, he's actually mediocre for me. He lacks edginess and spunk. But wait a minute, isn't INXS a "soft" band too? I knew some of their songs since high school, I really won't identify them with the hard rock bands that I listened to. So I guess Mig is a proper choice for them.

JD - I hate to admit it, but he's really good. If Mig loses this one, I hope he loses it to JD.

because...

Marty - I don't want him for INXS. He's too good for INXS. I want him to have his own band and grow on his own. He will be a wasted talent once he joins the band. I must say he's not original but he can be big. This reasoning can actually be because of me being a 90s guy. And yes I love grunge!

sept 8

Finally! Congrats Biboy and May. Here are some photos I took. I've been practicing simple layouts for wedding albums lately. I sure do need a lot of practice and maybe formal photoshop lessons. Check out some other images at http://community.webshots.com/user/glibert
